The talented Bouchra Jarrar has been named as the new artistic director of women’s collections at Lanvin. She starts on Monday 14 March to work on the fashion house’s Spring Summer 2017.
Her appointment is one half of filling the void Alber Elbaz left when he parted ways with the fashion house. Jarrar launched her eponymous house in 2010 and had stints with other big fashion brands like Balenciaga as Studio Director and Christian Lacroix as head of couture design.
A favourite among fashion fans, Jarrar produces modern elegant wear; her mastery of texturing fabrics and beautiful modern cuts defines her strength as a designer.
This is one appointment were definitely pleasantly surprised! We can’t wait for her collection.
