As the weather warms up, we shove our winter wear and layered looks to the back of the closet and quickly hunt for the latest Spring Summer looks. Island vibe is always vibrant and nothing is as lucidly splashed in color than the Grecian paradise islands of Mykonos.
The latest GUESS campaign captures GUESS Models, Grace Elizabeth, Elizabeth Turner, Solveig Mork and veteran GUESS male model Gui Fedrizzi embarking on a carefree journey through Greece’s enchanting island.
Directed by Paul Marciano, Chief Creative Officer for GUESS, Inc., shot by photographer Kayt Jones and styled by Satoshi Hirota, captures the models in a mix of classic black and white images and vibrant, colorful shots.
Rays of the sun bounces off the GUESS Girls tousled hair and radiant skin allowing their natural beauty to be the spotlight and pop against the golden Mykonos sand and piercing blue water.
The womenswear collection is a denim-focused assortment injected with unique, light-weight pieces that deliver an instant trend-focused look. Denim and chambray are seen in many silhouettes featuring fresh new takes on detailing including a classic denim jacket reimagined in a distressed, faded blue hue, a 70’s inspired chambray dress, and a denim flared skort.
Spring’s color palette reflects the island’s tonal quality translated into clean whites, shades of blue, and summer prints. White distressed denim and island-ready delicate lace dresses and off-the-shoulder tops in crisp white as seen in the campaign photos are complemented by the rich earthy neutral tones in the form of tops, shorts and a buttery leather jacket.
A standout print from the spring collection is a beautiful white and blue floral print reminiscent of the legendary islands of Mykonos. Long-sleeved button-down tops knotted at the waist are reminiscent of vintage GUESS and is a timeless garment for any girl’s wardrobe.
The menswear collection likewise reflects the environment. GUESS SS 16 Men’s features modern slim-fit button-down shirts in white, chambray and eye-catching patterns as seen in the campaign photos dominate the men’s spring collection and is a true seasonal staple that’s never going out of style.
