In a year shaped by departures and adding to the string of magazines folding, 33-year old DETAILS magazine was announced to close. There’s been a series of changes at Condé, with its CEO Bob Sauerberg quickly reshaping the media giant. These past few weeks we’ve seen a handful of layoffs from GQ, the departure of Teen Vogue publisher Jason Wagenheim and a major shake-up at Allure with Linda Wells exiting after 24 years as editor in chief replaced by Nylon’s Michelle Lee.

The leaner organization is said to focus on building on the success of GQ and expand their business through their GQ Style franchise.

We’re sad to see DETAILS go but c’est la vie; we just hope that GQ will shape up to be THE men’s magazine authority.
