It seems male models aren’t immune to getting into trouble with the law and being ‘really, really good looking’ does not necessarily make you smart, at least not in this case.
Male models Christopher Wetmore (25) and Joseph DeNormandie (20) stood before a Manhattan judge on Friday, charged after allegedly selling a stash of cocaine and acid to an undercover cop.
The two models who are both signed to modelling agency Quest, appeared alongside two co-defendants, Julia Arcia and her boyfriend Richard Figueroa, charged with the felony offences.
Wetmore, who has modelled for brands including Rocawear and Diesel and has appeared in GQ Style and Vogue Hommes Japan. He also fronted an underwear campaign for Björn Borg and has been shot by Hedi Slimane for V Man.
DeNormandie had his bail set at $100,000, while is still awaiting his arraignment. The duo were picked up last week – reportedly after selling controlled substances to an undercover police officer, Page Six says – but have not yet made any statement on the charges.
Our only advice to these two is ‘Don’t drop the soap!’
