Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana did not disappoint with their Spring Summer 2014 collection. Each piece features a print or a surface texture that adds to the beauty of their elegant silhouettes, keeping the freshness through every detail. The way their embellish each look is a mark of true styling – there is a lot to take yet somehow the look feels concise. With Greek ruins appearing on prints and floral details were splashed across, it is clear that the designers are paying homage to the Greek-roots of Sicily.
Grazia reports, ‘It was back to Mediterranean Sicily on Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2014 voyage this afternoon for a collection that was more of an evolution than revolution for the designer duo. A crossroads between the ancient and modern, mythical and practical, inspiration originated from 4 lithographs picked up as souvenirs while on their annual pilgrimage South.’
